Proud To Work With The Following Venues

Delivering whisky tasting across the country means I get to see some great venues and towns, and also speak with some brilliant distilleries. Over recent months I've been really proud to work with the following:

Only about 200 metres from the famous school which gave the sport of rugby its name, this pub is an absolute treasure trove of breweriana and excellent beer, and has been frequently recognised by CAMRA. The staff are attentive, passionate and professional. Appropriately, this is the place to be for club and country rugby matches, frequently packing out and ensuring a memorable occasion. Quite simply, not to be missed.

Situated on the high street of this bustling, family market town, this pub really exemplifies how hospitality can be truly successful. Welcoming staff, warm smiles, incredible beer and an outside area and gin palace that will probably be discussed in 100 years' time. The Black Lion has all of the timber framing, low ceilings and historical signage required to cater for a cosy, authentic experience. A pub of high standards and even better experiences.

This pub, on the medieval, characterful Spon Street in the West of the city, isn't just one of the best pubs in the region, it is one of the best experiences, fullstop. There isn't a straight angle in the place, from ceilings to floors to doorways, oozing charm at every turn. The pub is divided into small, warren-like rooms, where students play boardgames, families unite, or the sizeable support for Coventry Rugby Club or the local ice hockey team turn out in their droves. Don't miss the incredible charcuterie boards, wine nights, cheese nights, piano evenings, or (of course) their whisky selection.
